I had the time to go get my pic's of the Koala I'm doing and a A-Star and a 109 got almost 200 pic's I will be going back for more pic's enjoy.

Yes it's a Air inflatable flotation, Tanks is just air, but it's not auto. The pilot has to turn them on, but his airspeed have to be right you wouldn't want to do it in F F it would be to much drag.

Yes! It's just to to keep it up for eveyone to get out of the heli. It's not made to keep the heli up in water to save the heli. Lol I think they go for about 2 to 3 million so you would need a big lottery

The top of the heli will be nice and heavy for one thing...which would invert the airframe if it had to land on water during a failure.

I work with S61's and these are designed to land on water, they still have flotation bags fitted to the sponsons...in a chop the 61 would easily invert.

Was chatting with an RAF Search and Rescue guy once...his heli went down in the sea due to a failure...the crew got out ok but the heli ended up inverted...got towed into the nearest harbour like that it got recovered in the end.

Quality takes........time!

The unlucky one's the flotation bags defalte and the heli will go to bottom of the gulf and have to be recovered. Take care!
