The C5's much larger and older and built by Lockheed.

This hobby is like Kryptonite to chicks!

The other cool thing is that it has short/soft field capabilities that are better than my light single engine airplane. Pretty dang cool.

Wait..what!?!?! No, that can't be!

You can buy anything, providing the price is right, and the builder willing to depart his work of art .

That's Ali Machinchy's "GlobeMaster". He flies it very well and scale-like.

He's a super nice guy too. I met him at TopGug '08.

He flies it... scale-like
His climbout at 1:27 didn't look very scale like.

The plane looks nice on the ground, but in the air it looks kinda clumsy, and the speeds look a little fast to be "scale". Nothing like the full scale C-17's I used to watch fly overhead daily.

One of the most unscale flights I have ever seen. I have seen the full scale demo at Osh Kosh Air Venture and while it was very impressive it looked nothing like the model flight.
That C-17 on the ground is fabulous. In the air you have to keep it low and slow for it to look scale.

True, but i'd cut the pilot a bit of slack when you look at the wind he was fighting.. Was more than a gentle breeze, and from an interesting angle.

I can't imagine the shakes I would get for flying that! Very neat

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

That look's like Ali flying that. He owns an rc hobby store in England. He has a few very large scale rc jet airplanes. He is one of the highest rated pilots in the world.
