Having trouble setting up the swash mixing on my e-rappy and DX=7
120 deg 3 servo everything is working great exept as I input down elevator I get a slight increased pitch and up elevator a slight decreased pitch, with aileron input the pitch is rock solid but the elevator is driving me crazy its causing a yo yo effect in hover
my swash mixing is set at aileron = +50%
Elevator = -40%
Pitch = +60%
I tried changing these but it doesnt help, so I went to program mixing and mixed it till the elevator had no effect on the pitch just like the aileron and took it out and test hovered and it was way worse shooting way up on elevator input but looking at it sitting there its rock solid so i took the program mix back out and it settled back down but its still not right... any suggestions?????

The spacing on the frame lever arms are made for 90 or 140deg. swash plates. You think that is messing things up?

Sounds like you have mixing issues...take all the mixing out, inhibit all of them...post here if you still have issues. Did you use a swash leveler and play with the endpoints to fix any swash interaction during setup???

Life is tough, it's tougher if you're stupid

If the helicopter has 140 degree ccpm option take a close look that the heli isn't built for 140 and the radio is set to 120 (the 7 won't do 140 w/o mixing)

i think you need to go into the travel adjust setting on your radio and increase or decrease one servos travel so it mixes evenly

Does your 620 have the stock 90 degree swash some other brand of 120 degree or the optional 140 degree.

I use Futaba Faast and it has a 90 degree swash setting for the stock swash

A 140 swash with a 120 mixer will not work properly.
I am not familiar with the DX7 but in my Futaba 9Z and Raptor 620 I use the 120 program in combination with a software mixer to drive the 140 swash.
Works perfectly.
Check http://www.futaba-rc.com/faq/faq-9z-q455.html.

Maybe this is also possible in the DX7.

Good luck.

When I upgraded to 140 eCCPM I also upgraded to a Futaba 7C-2.4 radio. That turned out to be a very good combination. I have always like the Futaba better for helicopters and have given up on Spektrum.

Actually 90 degree eCCPM is excellent and you really don’t need to upgrade. I think that it has fewer interaction problems than the 120. I found that the 140 degree swashplate is fragile in crashes so I don’t recommend 140 any more.

So just keep the Spektrum and go with 90 degree eCCPM – that’s the most cost effective solution if you already own a Spektrum radio.

With the Futaba 7C faast and the stock TT E-620 Raptor 90 degree swash, the Tx has a built in 90 degree eCCPM swash selection. HE3 for 90 and H3 for 135 or 140 degree swashes

It works perfectly on my 620 Raptors and no mixing required.

Im still not clear what kind of swash the OP has>>>>>

Do you hae n aftermarket or different brand 120 degree swash or what?

I think he is using a 120 swash with the 620E 140 setup.
