Been seeing a lot of it on RC Groups, same story. If it sounds too good to be true and your spidey senses are tingling don't do it

Pull up my post, look it got burnt out of 117.00 for a battery that does not work form wileyeco, all I got back from this guy after he got my money was to send the battery back to Thunder Power. And I checked his feedback at it was fine. Just goes to show you.

doing a trade/sale is all about faith, and trust man !!
and if we dont have faith, and can't trust !! we might as well not do a trade/sale,cause it can go pretty wrong ,or it could go fine!!!

if you read what the original post said...

Are very new
Post only in classifieds
Do not fill out profile

see its simple if your new and have no profile and your only post is in classified odds are your a scammer and if your not then youll have no prob shippin first (and in this case shippin first only if the rr member has outstanding feedback and been a member for a year)both of you jhenerydec, ptolomy have a profile and post logged so to me and outher rr member your trying to show your staying in the community with an intent to build up a rep

I see crazzyheli, closed all his post and called the member here ASSHOLES, He also moved to AFRICA! , I thought he was from Trinidad?? I take it he got angry when no one would buy his stuff. I am not beating anyone down, but I really don't feel safe purchasing anything, where the long arm of the law can not reach.

I'm fairly new as well, but if you were to PayPal me, just before you confirmed the payment you would see that I am verified with probably 100 all good paypal transactions, look for that when sending paypal funds to sellers and also ask for a physical address along with the name and than run a search on white pages and see if there's a match...just my 2 pieces of copper and hopefully it helps...

Im not saying dont trust, I have many times shipped prior to payment and have had the favor extended to me as well. Its a matter of WHO to trust. There is a big difference between Blind trust and informed trust.
DUE DILLAGANCE
50-60 bucks is one thing, 100s is another. Its not that hard to see if a guys ligit. Get a phone number, call, use google and lots of other ways.

There are some really straight shooters that really sell things low.

for example my Trex600N I got from Ckevin here..
$500 RTF shipped...

http://www.runryder.com/t478403p1/?p=3896378#RR

It sounded too good and yes I was concerned but he had flawless feedback here as well as on Ebay.

And it worked out fantastic.

So be careful and do your homework but there are some great deals and great sellers around.

WOW... that was a great deal! (for nitro) ;-)

heres the 600E i picked up in october....the seller had posted it for 1400.00 originally, i got it for 1000.00 (canadian=7.00 american;-)) shipped....

http://runryder.com/t458897p1/

it came with the TP 1010/210V and 2-8S FP evo 25C 3700mAh packs, all in all a very good deal, priced out, would have taken approx 3000.00 brand new.

there are some good deals out there.

and ive bought a number of things from guys with zero feedback, i just communicated with them before and went with my gut feeling. once or twice i declined on the offer. it just didnt feel right.

i figure even those with no feedback have to start somewhere!

I could not agree with the last 2 poster more, in every respect.
I really believe rips off are rare compared to all the great deals, for both parties, that can be had here. Even made some good friends while buying or selling.

Thing is there could be alot less R/Os if the BUYERS would just use a bit more common sense. Like I said, Due Diligence.

Ive gotten more than one PM from new heliman all less than happy with this thread. All I can say is I am really sorry that recent events made me feel this thread was needed. Hard to see now but especially at the time and in the post context that I did it in. Follow?

Right, we all gotta get a start at some point. Ligit new guys here is some unsolicited advise.

NUMBER ONE RULE- Communicate Accurately Completely and Honestly

You may be here just to sell your stuff, you are missing 99.5% of the good stuff and you will find it harder to sell, but thats a personal choice and there is nothing wrong with that.

Fill out your profile

Go into the threads ask some questions- In other words, get involved.

Buy a few things, do what you say you are going to do and get some feed back

If you have a buddy here, get him to post to your thread-vouch for you

If you have it, reference your Ebay feedback

In a sale, list your phone number

Do your own due diligence on buyers/sellers. If a guy has been here for a long time, has been involved (lots of posts in other areas), has good feedback, He has time, effort and reputation at stake. Not very likely to rip you off on a $50 item.

If you are selling, especially W/O feedback, be ready to take a little less and maybe even offer to ship first (see above). Or use an escrow service.

For high $$ stuff, you should expect to be "googled", as it is part of due diligence. People are gonna want to be comfortable with YOU.
Its in your best interest to be accommodating.

Look, I like the feeling of trusting people. I like it when people trust me. All those good vibes take a hit when we hear the "ripoff" stories. Nobody can, or should, trust everyone blindly. Its simple, You/we need to be trustworthy - worthy of trust. Communicate do what you promise, be involved, be willing to show you are "real".

Im done, hope this helps.
PS If you cant spell, like me, get the google tool bar. TRUST ME

RIP ROMAN

Crazzyheli full stock of helicopter parts scared me everything was new (unopened) and he was trying to selling everything in one night. A trex 450+500+600 plus thousands of dollars in unopened batteries and parts. Really who has 10-15 unopened batteries lying around plus the whole Trinidad/Africa thing was too much for me!

hay i have 500+ positive feedback on ebay and a couple hundred positive paypal feedback to but that dosent mean that i am going to scrue anybody out of what thay buy. i9 am not selling anything but as the original poster said you need to do due dillagence before you buy from anybody. i would like to trust everybody but have got burned by people who i thaught were my friends. people who i have known for years worked with even. so do you think you or i should trust someone whom we have never met?

I'm pretty new to the whole heli world and I haven't posted in any threads because I feel I don't have enough knowledge to voice an opinion. I've gotten some good deals here without any problems but I was also careful when buying. I don't send checks or money orders, only Paypal so I atleast have some kind of recourse if it goes bad. I've also sold some items here and I always try to give great deals. I just sold my Blade 400 here and it took longer than I thought it would because I felt it was a really good price considering how much I spent on it and all the work I put in. I figured maybe it had to do with my low number of feedback's but I will continue to build my rep and show members I am a good seller. I really like this site, it has quickly become my favorite. Hopefully with time I will make some friends here and establish an excellent rep. Thanks to all the guys who have given me good advice and great deals.
