I am looking to upgrade the servos in my 90SE and am looking at these two servos from JR.

Does anybody here have any experience with both so make a direct comparison between the two. I know the 8915 has a metal case which I presume is for cooling but is it really necessary? They appear to have exactly the same spec for torque and speed, are there any differences in performance.

There seems to be a large difference in price between them, £71.30 and £109.99 at skyline is the cheapest I have found both so far.

I have plenty of both, no difference whatsoever.

8915'S Dissipate the heat slightly better when run on 2s Direct.

Thanks

24-7 I thought that the 8915 was the 8717 in the USA?

I don't plan on running them from 2S just 6V with my Fromeco regulator. So heat shouldn't be a problem.
