I have been looking at Heli-World's site in hopes of ordering the CN3037 muffler and they are still out of stock. I then looked at the CN3039 muffler and it is virtually the same dimensions, overall it is 5mm longer than the CN3037 and the muffler port on the CN3037 is 21.25mm deep and the depth on the CN3039 the muffler port is 28.3mm, which will make it stick out an additional 7mm from the exhaust port on the motor. Will the CN3039 work with my Hawk Pro?

Thank you all in advance,
DT

I don't see why not they are made for the same size engines,
there may be a differance in performance

Blademaster1, yes I agree they seem to be indentical and the difference does seem to be very small but then again the displacement is kinda small also.....it might be a big difference to the OS37 in some way either good or bad? Hmmmmmm, on the fence on ordering this one just yet.

The CN3039 works very well with the OS37.

Thanks oldfart, do you know if the extra dimensions will interfere with Hawk Pro canopy?

You might have to cut the canopy a little which seems to be common with pipes

As BM said - a bit of a trim will be needed at the back of the canopy...easy to do.

Just know that that CN3039 muffler is VERY loud!!! I hate mine. I MUCH prefer the Mavrikk muffler for the OS37. It's larger in diameter, much quieter or at least has a different tone that doesnt make my ears bleed and makes great power.

go to: http://helihobby.com/html/mufflers_and_bits.html

scroll down to the Mavrikk 32/39 muffler. THATS the one for an OS37 in my book. $28. I have two of those and one of the CN3039's.
