three lipo 6s packs

6s 3000mah weight 438g

6s 3300mah weight 504g

6s 3700mah weight 558g bit nose heavy need weight on tail to balence prob an extra 60g

500 size heli
scorpion 3026 1600kva motor

the question i have is the 3700 has a bit slow climb rate
but want the longest flight time going lighter will give me more zip but to what cost on flight time
i know less weight mean less power drain
trouble is thease packs cost alot so just buying and trying is out of the question

will going from 3700-3000 loose me loads of flight mins?
was wondering say 3700-3300 would loose 114g in weight would the 3300 give me same flight time as the 3700 ?
is there a rule of thumb ie power to weight?

any one in the know in all this? thanks

I put a 5000mah pack on my 500, with 2500mah I get 4 mins 3D flight and with the 5000mah pack I get 6:40! I found that with a bigger pack you get more power because they have more amps in reserve so the extra weight is not really a problem. I would just get the biggest pack that will fit under the canopy, maybe a 3300 6s, then you can play around with pinions for more flight time if you need to.

60% of the time, it works every time!
