My friend has a Macbook Pro (new Aluminum body one) and has VMWare Fusion 2.0 on it with Windows XP Pro on it. Runs seemlessly. He has QuickBooks Contractor edition on it and it run fine. He has a Ethernet VPN firewalled router.
He had a Dell with XP on it and his CPA did and both work in the same room and both pull Quickbook files from a older Dell running XP I set up to be a server. Has worked well for years.
The CPA still uses his Dell and it works fine with the server. Both are PC's and running XP.
Both guys log on from home using Gotomypc.com and can pull from the server flawlessly. The server is setup to share only quickbooks. All three computers have QB's install, just the files are all on the server and I have a external Hard drive as a back up. Works well or did.
With the new Mac how do I set it up to pull Quickbooks files from the old Dell server? Especially since Quickbooks is running under a virtual enviroment on a Mac. I know this can be done, as I know PC's and Mac's will play nice it set right. Also Fusion will do networking fine too if set right.
