I heard this is somewhat easy.

What would it be involved ?

How can it be done ?

Mikado conversion, or the gaui unit, or make it yourself.

Then choose a flybarless system, and go from there.

Sorry guys I realized I should have phrased my question better....

I meant to say what is it involved in order to convert the actual stock head of the 500 to flybarless.

I heard people converting the stock instead of buying one ready. I want to see if it's worth it money wise against time and effort.

its very easy to convert, heres a link that helped me and all you need is an extra main shaft collar

http://flybarless.heli-rnd.com/Trex...s-built-log.php

AND IT COSTS NOTHING TO CONVERT EXCEPT FOR THE V BAR

Wow, thanks for the link. From what I see all you have to do is add the additional colar to lock the head and just change around the links once you get rid of the flybar assembly.

I didn't think it would be that easy.I would need to see one finished a bit better just to confirm everything but that would do for now.

I wouldn't be able to get you to post a couple of pictures of yours as it's done so I can see the whole thing properly, would I ?

If you ever get the chance, it would be greatly appreciated.

But in any case, this link would do for now. Thanks again.

Mario.
