Hey all, went out to fly today and my RX wouldn't turn on basically. The servos would center but there was no orange light on the rx. Figured I'd have to rebind since I copied my model onto a different one but I still couldn't get anything. I guess I'll just have to replace it since I don't want to wait for Horizon but still what a pain in the ass... Anyone else have this happen to them?

I've had it happen several times. Usually it happens when the radio is really close to the receiver. When I switch it off and then move the radio away from the receiver it works. Don't ask me why or how but that's what happens.

Did it bind correctly? When you copy from one model to the other you have to bind to one or the other but it won't work in both as I remember.

If the lights on the RX don't light up then the TX and RX are not linking. I have had that happen several times if the TX is too close to the RX when turning on the RX, as already mentioned above.

So if you just had it successfully bind then it won't link up I'd try powering everything down then power up the TX then the RX with at least 2 feet between the two.

btw, which TX are you using here?

I had my Vibe 50 not "link up" with my DX7 once for no reason at the field recently, I powered off the reciever and turned it back on and everything was fine. I learned something new today about the transmitter being to close and possibly causing this! Thanks guys!

First I have heard of the trans to close -- hmmm have to watch for that-- havent had that happen yet

A word of caution -- mine just went bad using idle up and only at no stick -- little nudge of throttle and it would be ok. Basically sittin on table with TH on I was checking eveything over ndnoticed if I had no throttle applied the rec would blink and reset -- if I had a touch of throttle it would be fine -- sent it to horizon had it back BN in 2 weeks so not a bad wait really for a $100 reciever :0)

That was just model match doing its thing. With the DX7 you have to rebind if you copy something to another model memory, as far as that receiver is concerned it's another transmitter once you change model memories.
