I just finished my Trex 700E and I only have about 5 flights on it. I have developed a wobble at any HS that I can't seem to figure out. I lubed the head when I assembled it and then I re-lubed it when I saw the wobble for the first time. I have checked to see if the thrust bearings were in correctly and they are as well as all the other head bearings. I checked it while it was spooling down and it seems to be there even on spool down (super slow HS) It seems like the main shaft is bent but it is new and I doubt that would be it and it makes the whole heli wobble very badly. I am running about a 1950 HS and the blades have been balanced. Here is my setup:
Trex 700 with the E-conversion
Scorpion 4035-500
PowerJazz
(3) 9452 on cyclic
(1) 9256 on tail
CY Solid-G
AR7000 rx
Perfect regulator (6v on cyclic and 5 volts for the tail)
Outrage 2s 2500 rx pack
(2) Outrage 6s 4200 for a 12s setup
Radix 690mm blades
Stock paddles
Stock tail blades
Any ideas???

there was a thread about this a while ago, which was the tail boom was short (or the torque tube was long). I pulled mine out about 3mm and the crazy figure 8 wobble was gone.

It seems like the main shaft is bent
Why is that? If you think it is, then just check it, it's easy.

Remove the head, remove tha main shaft, and roll it on glass.

Saturday morning I flew my helicopter in my pajamas
How it got in my pajamas I'll never know

I tried that on the advice of another member but it did not fix the problem. Sorry I forgot to post that.....Ron

you can't do that with the trex 700 very well, if at all with the machined lip on it.

you could take head off and dial gauge it in situ.

cheers

Remove the main shaft & spin it up in a drill.
You'll soon see if it's bent.

Well I replaced the mainshaft (although I don't think it was bent after I checked it) and I moved the torque tube end out to where the TT engaged in the ends but was not too snug or too loose. The wobble is gone at hover but it still wobbles some at various pitch changes. the swashplate and bearings all feel great and the drivetrain feels tight with no slop at any point. I will further test and advise.......Ron

I think we got it I readjusted the TT, Re-lubed the head, checked all tracking and the spindle. I also bumped my HS up to around 2100 and all is well for now. I will get some flights in and post. Thanks again all , this is a great community.......Ron

I am not using any of those pieces...It is an E-heli and the Scorpion motor has a 6mm shaft so I am not using a 3rd bearing block...........Ron
