After much experimenting I have succeeded in an easy to make speed up ratio of 4.84 for the T-rex 700. I have replaced the 33 tooth module .7 gear up front with a 31 tooth gear. That required moving the tail boom forward .7 mm. Coincidentally, by using regular 3 mm bolts rather than the Align shoulder bolts the tail boom holder can be moved forward .7 mm. Perfect gear mesh.

For more information email.

Why did you speed up the tail? I heard at 2100RPM+ main blade speed these tails are already coming apart.... Not sure if that is only rumor

why would you run 2100 on the head of a 90? Not a single 90 motor on the market can rev that high without major consequences. Absolutly 0 need to spin it that fast.

2100RPM+
That is extremely high for a 90 and why do you need to?

I run 1850 and 1900 but I am saying is those guys who tried 2100 were rumored to have problems with the tail so if you are gearing it up...

The only problem I was aware of was the standard 600 blade grip/bearings cant handle the mass of the 700 tail blades at high rpm without binding. A speed up gear would be sweet if you run Quick or Kasama tail grips/bearing that can handle the extra load generated at a higher rpm.
