Hello,

does anyone know how to recalibrate the centering of a JR 9303.

I am fairly sure that I need to go to the service mode of the radio, any info will be much appreciated.

I noticed that my rudder stick has a tendency not to 'center', which makes it impossible to trim my birds.

Thank you in advance ... Khan

I don't know how to do what you're asking but as long as the stick goes to the same place for center all the time, you should be able to trim for whatever that postion is. If the stick doesn't go to the same spot, which I assume is why you need to trim, resetting electronic center won't make any difference. It would be a mechanical problem with the gimbal. Did you try tightening the springs?

Would getting into the service mode of your 9303 be the same as a DX7 or XP7202?

You're not confusing the way a heading hold gyro operates with your rudder not returning to neutral when you let go of the stick, are you?

Check the Monitor on your 9303, select an unused model memory and do a Clear Model Memory, look at the monitor page and centre all the sticks and side levers. If the monitor shows all adjustable channels as being centred, then you do not need to calibrate it.

i am guessing it might be confusing my gyro/rudder when i go back to center stick. maybe because of that, i have a very slow drift only in one direction.

the reason i think it is not going to center, is when i go to the ATV screen - the rudder cursor automatically goes to one side of the ATV (say for example - left direction ATV). i really need to push and hold the stick the other direction, to get the cursor to move to the other direction. plus the slow piro - that is why i am thinking my rudder stick is not calibrated properly ...

PS i am aware that the servo acts very differently in HH mode
PSS i will test the centering screen once i get home tonight
