-32C today, tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. The coldest I've flown was -16C. Will this deep cold stop soon, and I'm not asking for it to be warm during the week, weekend please.

went flying today, it was +19 , had some trouble getting the engine to run well, dont know if it was too cold. Couldnt tell if it was steam or smoke comming out of the exhaust. Hovered for awhile and then I couldnt feel my fingers, come on March

I've flown with temperatures hovering around 25 degrees F before but it was a quick fix as I was going through withdrawal from not flying in many Winter weeks. It really doesn't make sense but I may do it once every Winter. Invariably what happens is my fingers freeze as I can't wear gloves and those transmitter mitts are cumbersome. My face doesn't hold up well to the biting wind chill either, a good chance for frostbite. One year it was so cold that when I made a hard landing on the snow and ice the gear snapped clean on my Nexus. I guess I didn't have a set of "springy" landing gear to save my ship.

-23C at the moment, and it won't be getting warmer anytime soon as Steff mentioned. Guess I'll have to find a place to fly indoors, this weather sucks. I haven't flown in over a week , but I take every chance I can get to go to the park and fly the crap out of my belt cp. I have a 4#3B that I fly in my living room, loads of fun and a great way to work on precision but It's been down for a few weeks awaiting parts.

Coldest I've every flown in was -14C, it wasn't so bad since there was no wind, but my esky gyro wasn't too happy about it, even my new logictech gets kinda jumpy at those temps. Other than that, the heli flew fine.

Last winter I flew at -24°C. That's the coldest I've flown. But I've learned my lesson since and have set a limit to -15°C as the coldest I'll fly. Even with a radiomitt fingers takes a beating.

If you want I can send you a picture of yet another sunnny 25+ degrees summer day here in New Zealand
We are lucky to get a frost where I live in the winter, it is very rear that we wouldnt hit ouble digits in the middle of the day.
I love going to the snow for a bit of skiing but not sure if I would want it up to my front door for months on end.

Gonna try and get a flight or 2 in tomorrow - supposed to warm up to almost 20F, they say. Hopefully the snow fall won't be too heavy. Haven't been out in a while - sometime in December, I think. Bet the reactions are off. Can't get into that simulator stuff all that much.
