If you are using an Align pinion, there should be a set screw hole in it. I guess you are using a different brand, so your best bet would be the green loctite, however, I am not a big fan of gluing a pinion.

Yea just use the Align ones with the set screws. I've never had a problem with them and changing the pinion is a simple lefty-loosy, righty-tighty

I have a similar to the align one but steel (the hard one, same design), it has an screw as well, do I have to use locktite as well on the pinion or just some blue on the screw only ?
I asked because I had a problem in the past with an align one poping up and the I use red (permanent), ofcourse it worked but it's almost imposible to remove.
then many of you are not using locktite on the pinion ?

+1 for blue loctite, red will be next to impossible to remove without heat.

Hard Ones pinions are great, that's what I use, and have 0 issues.

Thanks for the advice. I'll do it in this way, may be the last time I didn't tight the screw right on the flat surface of the shaft.
