I have heard great things about the 6100 for the bigger birds, but have no personal experience with them. I would like to hear more about them as well.

I used one on my 600 and Sceadu 50 for a long time. It worked great and piros were as consistant as the 611. I have never owend a 611 but have flown them on several occasions.

I flew mine for many hundreds of flights on two different helis and it always worked flawlessly. Traveling piros are extremely consistent and it holds the tail like it's mounted in concrete.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Awesome Gyro, I have them on my 600's. Easily as good as a 611 and much smaller. The drawback is that you MUST use their Rudder Servo so best you have a spare around just in case because you can't just whack any old servo on there.

I like the 'feel' (and size and look) of the Spartan better but the 6100 is still an excellent Gyro and holds like a vice. Oh and it's 'LogicTech'. Logitech is the PC peripheral maker.

I have one in my 600 and it works nicely as well. I also have 601's and 611's and it feels pretty close to those.

But you can only use the 6100 servo with the 6100 gyro unless there is another setting somewhere. See later post.

have you found frame rate documented?
I have seen it called out at 760 usec, and another calling 900 usec.

I was wondering that myself because when I emailed LogicTech they said I must use their servo but then again that could be marketing talk...

Per the Spartan RC manual page 6.

I tested it a minute ago and initially it works, but when i moved the servo to the left and then tried to move it off center, the servo would not hold. It does holds to the right. Like it lost signal to the left. Same happened when I plugged the 6100 into the Spartan, just not as bad.

Futaba to Spartan, Futaba, holds strong, 6100G to 6100 holds strong. Any other mixing of the two did not work.

Sorry about my assumption, maybe there is something I missed in a set up somewhere, but a plug and play the mixing of the two did not work after all. I'll edit my previous post.
