Is there any reason why I could not used the motor batt to run the radio? I would like to set it up like you do the 250,450 and 500 using just one battery. Any feed back would be great.

Like Heli 770 said, you can definately do it the way you mentioned. You'll need an external BEC (like Castle Creations) and you won't be able to use the Align regulator (75 or 100A). Which ever brand BEC you go with, make sure it can handle the 25V input as well as having an output of 5-6 amps at 6V. Just a suggestion.

missle is right use a external BEC. You'll be using all digital servos and the GY-611.

That's what I was trying to say above but I guess I left that detail out. The Align reg can only hanlde the INPUT of a 2S lipo (~8V) whereas some of the external BEC's (like CC) can handle up to 25V INPUT and I bet there are even BEC's that can handle higher but I've yet to research that. I've been flying with a CC 10A BEC until just the last couple of weeks cause I've converted my 600 rex to 8S (but I'm about to try 7S also). I also run my airplanes/jets on CC 10A BEC's for this very same reason.
