Here's a picture of the new combo proposed for MSH protos comprising 80a regulator (good for all class 500) and short-shaft engine for use with the new smaller pinion.

Thanks for letting us see them.

Are you saying then... that if we want to use the smaller pinions... we would also need to use the short shaft motor?

Are there any pics of the new pinions we can see?

Is that a programming card on the right in this photo?

I like it! I too am curious about the new pinions and short shaft motor. Also, will this proposed kit be in a heli kit, or separate, and what could we expect price wise, ballpark?

Thanks!

Shorter shaft will be available for old motor to change, very cheap.
Shorter shaft can mount regular motor adapter and new smaller motor adapter for 12,13,14 pinions.
New motor and new shafts have a flat spot for grub screw.

Specs on the esc, including bec voltage choices, would be nice. I haven't seen anything on the site yet.

You could cut the shaft of your existing motors in order to fit the new pinions?

An 80 Amp ESC including a switched 4A UBEC w/ selectable voltage... for $120 - that's pretty sweet.

How does the governor mode compare to the Jazz ESC's? I have a Jazz 55 I was going to use in a Protos but this one looks interesting.
