Sean,

A non runner internally on the the Logo I'm afraid Maximum looks to be 14 cells inside the frames with a half cell overhang. Maybe less with the counter bearing if you use it. I used to run 10s1p in my Logo500 before switching back to lipo. Getting 24 of them on there would not be very easy.

If you were really set on using them it could be done. You could mount some cells externally. 6s2p within the frames and a second 6s2p configuration half each side. Shrink wrapped in black and positioned on top of the camera mount would look ok. Alot of wiring and connections though.

Alternatively given the width of the Askman mount relative to the frames of the logo you could run 6s2p one on each side. That would leave the cavity inside the logo free for other stuff. I think it would look cool. Like sponsons

Regards

Fergus

fergus, did you draw that 12s2p diagram? If so, great job man!! By the way, where do you go to get the balance leads and metal connection tabs?

I couldn't watch the video. It says "This video has been removed by the user."

I will double check the link. Yes I drew the diagram a long time back. The leads are available from thunderpower. I think tanicpacks also have them. The other option is solderless power tubes. They also have the battery bars for soldering if I recall. I bought the packs ready made from tanic so I didn't need to use my diagram (I'm prity sure it's correct)

I'm on my iPhone so can't post links. I will update you with a few when I get a chance.

hi , i have a trex 600, and i'll like to use 12s a123 and use the hyperion 1210i as charger, maybe the 12sa123 can be fully charge in 15m without the balancer with this charger?

My 1210i takes 90 minutes on a 12s 2p 4600mah, so my guess would be, 45 minutes at max (10 amps) with your 12s....

What's the max output of that charger? I think it's 180watts. That's going to give you a max output of 4.10amps for your 12s pack. 12s A123 is 2300mah so 1c is 2.3amps.

4.1/2.3=1.78C. You are looking at 45mins approx. A little more maybe as the CV phase of charging will not be at 1.78C.

Double check your output power. I think 180 is correct.

About those solderless tube kits from ModelElectronics....

Are they large enough to allow balancing wires to fit up the side (inside the tube?).....

I've always been curious about them, but have never used them...

So, would it be viable to run A123's on a trex600 for AP/AV?

Sure, it is a great application.
build it light to help off set the extra weight of the batteries.
I have this on my Raptor 50 stretched to 710's with solid 9 min flight time. See my gallery

A123 where to buy?
Looking for A123 to either build my own packs, or buy packs ready to go
I need a pair of 7S2P to put into my Trex 600 stretch
any thoughts or brilliant ideas would be appreciated
