Anyone using a Spartan 760 on their Trex 700? My buddy says the manual instructs to use 13-17mm. He has one and wanted to know how far out on the servo arm most are using and any Flash Link adjustments outside of default settings.

Thanks

With a 9256 I'm out about 13mm - 3rd hole on Futaba plastic horn. I also use the usb link to soften the decelleration.

I'm sure there are plenty of helis out there equiped with Spartan. I don't have one yet but soon to get one here in the near future. You may want to checkout Finless Bob's Spartan setup if you dont get anyone to chime in right away.

Az.. beat me to it.. LoL. (late entry)

Bert Kammerer has a good 700 parameter setup file on his website http://www.bertrc.com/ . Go to his "Setup Tips and follow the links to the DS760 section to find the file. I had to adjust my gain a bit but everything else was spot on, just use the Flashlink to load and it's pretty close to perfect.

My buddy had a GY611 in his Trex700 and it flew great. He put the Spartan 760 in and has adjusted it. It hunts with as little as 37% gain. He has already looked at Berts site. When he does a a piroetting circle the tail blows out faster than a GY401 or a windsock.
What kind of numbers are you guys putting in? What is the distance of the ball on the servo arm? What he is curious about is numbers used by some on the same heli and gyro. He is using a JR 8900g.

Ch-47c something appears to be amiss with his setup. The Spartan has exceptionial holding power. 15mm Servo Horn on the 700 is a good starting point..but best check thev setup as blowing out is defo not normal
