i've been thinking of getting the walkera #4-3 for indoors. my first helicopter was a 22e. after learning how to fly and setup a heli i realized this thing was junk. It almost chased me from the hobby. the 4 in 1 was junk as well were the servos. i know it's a cheap heli but it's almost impossible to setup and keep going. just curious if the electronics on the #4-3 are going to hold up any better. i also went through motors like they were disposable. is this a problem as well?

I have been quite impressed and love my 4#3b! I don't think that the quality is the "best", but I have been very pleased with how it has survived my tortures (I mean flying ). I have heard of few problems with the 4-in-1, servos, or transmitter. The motors are still a weak point in the design (which Walkera recognizes) and they have just released a brushless conversion kit. If you decide to stick with the stock motor, expect 50 to 60 flights per motor if you take care of it. You might not think tht 50 or 60 flights is much, but replacement motors are only $4.50, so all in all, cost of ownership is quite low. Several other forums have some pretty active threads going about the 4#3b and you will find many folks who can help you if needed.

Like yourself, I also had reservations about walkera products. I have a 4#3b and love the way it flies. I had to replace the main motor after 40 flights but at $5 no harm. I had it for sale a week back and thought it was sold but buyer backed out and Im glad he did. With over 65 flights now it is flying as good as it did new. Try it, I know you will enjoy it.

Got to have my cup of heli in the morning.

i watched one fly at a hobby shop and thought it looked like fun. at that price the motor is no biggy. i don't expect a $1000 heli for a couple hundred bucks, just that it's flyable. it looked good but they always do at the hobby shop. thanx for your responses guys. i just lost faith in walkera but i hear good things about this one. wondered if they had stepped up their game a little.
