Hi All just for info, my friend had this experience on his 600N yesterday. Heli flew a tank and landed in one piece except to follow. Not sure if anyone has had this happening. Metal fan sheared the two smaller of four fan supports on the engine fan mount. You can peruse the photos and draw your deductions, Fan was held to mount by one screw. The GV1 sensor could have been rubbing all along and caused the screws to loosen, then it jammed momentarily in the fan shroud,(which has evidence of rubbing, not much), shearing the brackets. Before flight heli made sounds like engine bearing was going, on landing... alot of noise, situation was not evident until strip down. Plug was shot as well when it shutdown by itself. There was no signs of this pending failure ie black powder from shroud. So check gap on sensor to fan, use required locktite(Blue) on screws. Hope this will be of help for future rebuilds and your regular maintenance checks.
