Get a tach and see what speed the blades are turning at. We will also need to know what heli you are flying.

If the motor is going the wrong way, you need too reverse two of the motor wires. The motor will then run in the opposite direction...

Thanks , changing the wires worked. Took it out for the first time. Brought it home in one piece, Training wheels work great.

Most ESCs also allow you to reverse the motor in the programing, I do it some times just to keep the color match on the wires, when you pull the motor you dont have to write down the color combos.

There are certain consistancies lacking in the industry. I match them the best I can out of the box and test the motor before programing so I dont have to go back and do it.

Thank god for that!! I just get frustrated when I loose the piece of paper I wrote the pairings on, because when it comes to guessing, I am always wrong.

I hate to rain on your parade but I don't think the MX 450 XS is a wise choice. The MX 450s were selling for $99 last summer, carbon fiber frame and tail boom, CNC head and tail rotor, fully assembled, no electronics. About two months after the shelves were cleared, Helimax put it in a new box, called it the MX 450 XS, with a price tag around $500. They are the same heli, I had a MX 450, when the XS came out I pulled one out of the box at the LHS to make sure. The problems with the MX were, the tail pitch control arm had a tendancy to bind, you had to grind the aluminum above it to give it sufficient clearance. The swash would get very sloppy very fast, and the mixing arms would bind if you tightened the screws, you had to rely on loctite to hold them in the correct position. They may have addressed these issues in the XS, but I don't feel it's worth another $400.

Helimax doesn't make anything, they basicaly handle the marketing and distribution. The MX 450 was designed by the same man that came up with the T-Rex 450 for Align. There was some problem that caused thier separation, and he went on to design the Arch 400, which became the Ark 400, and evolved into the MX 450.

I had both the Arch(Ark)400, and the MX 450, and I prefered the 400, the original heli.

Just FYI

I only paid $100 for it. figure it would be another cheap heli to start out with, I plan on getting a t rex-500 down the road.
I looked it up, it is the xs version.
