When you said you had no audio, do you mean no audio from your laptop, but audio through the tv or nothing at all?

If you have an HP laptop, I have heard in some cases that the spdif from the motherboard is not connected to the video card so you will no be able to have sound from the hdmi. This is on some HP laptops, though.

I am using my 52inch LCD tv on the wall as my computer monitor and man it is awesome flying my phoenix simulator on it.

I don't have the exact same setup but I do have an HDMI NVidia card connected to an HDMI monitor on my HP desktop. I had to go into the sound control panel and switch to HDMI output for the Realtek sound.
