I got news for you doc. Much of what I post is what experienced members on this forum are thinking but they don't say it because it is too hard to swallow or they know the flaming that will result. They try to sugar coat the bad medicine so it is easier to take. There is no way to sugar coat chemo when fighting cancer. You either take it or you don't. As an adult it is your choice.Ace

Hi Peter,

I had a very similar situation on my 700 but luckily it was still on the deck, while trying to make sense of it all another member of our club said "that happened to me and I found that if you put the power plug into a spare channel instead of the power in socket it was fine" that was what I did and I have no trouble since, hope it works for you.

All three receivers work fine on a weekly basis on the donor Heli’s so why would I bin them without knowing the true fault. I think if anything it will be the regulator and to prove this I will be trying a NiHM pack tonight to see if that works and if it does I will have just save a bucket load of money by not taking your advice and binning perfectly good items

Had a day off from Heli's today and just took a flying wing with me instead, flew if for the first time and although my body was shaking I had some fun with it and that’s what I needed after having so many problems building these conversions.I only like to fly gassed up

Thanks for the tip about using another channel but I tried that last night and the same fault still appearedI only like to fly gassed up

Webbed no but slightly wet maybe

Tried the NiHM pack with just the same fault, it works fine engine off and running but as soon as it spools up the receiver led goes out so it sounds like a bad bearing but what I can’t understand is the only way to get the signal back is to power of and back on, shouldn’t the receiver retrieve the signal and the led’s flashI only like to fly gassed up

More seriously ..if really being screwed by EMF noise then no reason why it shouldn't need a reboot (with apologies for double negatives..)

..question is whether it is a bearing and which one... enjoy the hunt. On my 600N it's nearly always the pinion ones first, mainshaft second that go notchy and vibrate....

Check the engine electrics for grounding or HT jumping. Consider some ferrites if you got some lying around...?pgk

With the engines running its fine

it only happens when the shafts turn.
Might try taking the main shaft out and run it up then if it still happens remove the pinion and so on.I only like to fly gassed up

I don't know what the term "bin" means but if you suspect a serious problem with the receivers you send them back to the manufacturer and let them give you the OK. Some people flat out won't use a reciever in a gasser that has had a wreck. Some people litteraly will throw everything away. I think that is a little much. Why not send it back instead of playing guessing games? What is another wreck worth?Ace

That’s a good call Ace and once I've run it without the bearings in that’s exactly what I shall do with all three just to be on the safe side.

Bin means waste bin or garbage binI only like to fly gassed up
