OS 61WC
Always wanted to try an OS 61WC in a 50. Probably would run great and they are easy to find. Might have to try that.

It is an new Airskipper50 clone (belt), with a Vibe 50 canopy.

How could someone do that and call it their own? Do they get a license from JR to copy the design, or do they just simply do it?

From what I see/know, it's more of a Vibe clone...not Airskipper.

Still no parts listed....

From what I read, the new JR Airskipper is identical to the Vibe except is has a belt drive and a diferent canopy.

Do more than read, dude.
I can argue that I had, if not the first, then one of the first Airskippers in the USA before Horizon had them.
Then I had a Hurrican from RJX, which was admittedly an Airskipper clone.
Then came the Vibe, which really is in no way, shape, or form, the same as the Airskipper.
Perhaps you are referencing the new Airskipper Type II, which again, is not like the Vibe except for the head. The frameset is nowhere close to being like the Vibe.

The TZ-V2 is indeed influenced heavily by the Vibe general frame design, head design, servo layout and canopy design.
That is where the similarities end as the V2 uses the Raptor style powertrain and tail drive, tail gearbox, and a Trex 600 like radio tray.

It uses a 6mm spindle unlike the Vibe which uses an 8mm.

So Chris, we will just call it a cheap knockoff of the Vibe50. Some companies have no shame!

Here's a few shots of the unit we've been flying, the radio mounting trays are different than the production model.

WrenFlyer, Do you know if the tail belt is powered by a counter gear like the pics on Amain's site or is it the raptor style like your pre production unit?

I did not notice that until you pointed it out, the tail boom is much higher on the one at Amain hobbies. Ours is a pre-production unit.

The production model now uses a Secondary gear to drive a tail pinion as shown on the Amainhobbies site.

There were actually several nice revisions to the prototype that should ultimately make for a nice model.

Yes, I was refering to the new Airskipper, but I was under the erroneous impression than IT and the Vibe were the same sans the belt drive.

Thanks Chris and Alan for all the info. Very Good post.

Well I figured I'd give one a try... Got it in yesterday. First thought's looks pretty nice ... Quality not to bad looks like the metal componet's are cast but the finish and overall is fery nice looking. They had a satin finish to them not polished.

The heli came pretty much put together (even the Links). The frame had no locktite on it so make sure you check locktite everything if you get one. The head seemed to have locktite on all but the spindle bolts.

I have it together and the electronics installed along with the engine...

I'm running a YS50. and HS-5625mg's and a Lodgictec 6100t/6100g as these are the items I had laying around.

I have a some pic.'s of the heli as it's packed and the part's out of the box that I'll post shortly.

I don't crash... I land with style

George, If you get a chance check the damper size. If they haven't changed them the Gohbee On Edge dampers will work.
