^^^^^^^dont knock it till you try it. The 700 works, and well. 1/2 the price, easier to build, easier to work on, less expensive to repair, Fewer parts count, metal blade grips,(I have cracked several MA plasic grips).More support, better parts availabillity, fuel tank doesnt look like a vitamin bottle, has push pull on servos, why MA doesnt is a mystery.

Nothing wrong with how a T-Rex700 flies! I would think that Lukas Rivas' success proves that. As for being cheaply made, if you say this, it is very obvious that you don't own one. It is the best Align has made, much superior to the 600.

The Stratus vs. T-Rex700 comparision realy comes down to two things: can you afford the Stratus or not, and do you want to be one of the many or one of the few.

You are correct, they do fly nicely. I have flown one at least 2 gallons. They are NOT in the same realm as the Stratus or ANY other modern heli. MA is much higher quality, and far more refined.

Brian,

I agree. I own both. MA does have better quality than Align! But, the 700 is not bad. Align is closing the gap. The 700 closed that gap to about a micron!

I own both as well, the Trex 700 is a great, inexpesive, good flying 90-size heli.

However my Stratus flies smoother and much more precise and also weighs less and is built like a tank.

I've broke plenty of metal and plastic grips in crashes but the only grips that have ever just broke in flight were on my Trex 600N.

Kudos to Align for bringing the hobby to the masses, however, it's not a fair comparison really at $700 (Trex 700) vs $1300 (Stratus HR) for the kits (Mustang GT vs Stage 3 Roush Mustang).

I also prefer working on my Stratus, I just like the way it's built.
