I'll echo what Lith said about the pilot mix. However, I would like to see even more beginner and lower-intermediate (like me) pilots out there next year. I still felt a little intimidated and out of place at times.

I did get up the nerve to talk to Bert Kammerer and Bobby Watts (pester them with questions about the OS .55 mostly) on Friday, as well as attend their little mini seminar Saturday. I also got to talk to Tim Jones quite a bit this morning. I can tell you that they are all classy guys. I discovered that even when they're clumped together they're very accessible. I'm hoping to be even braver next year and talk to more of the pros.

I would also like to express my thanks to Weldon and Terry for the hard work they put in. Plus, I'd like to thank Terry for the gift of the hat for my part in promoting the event on the forums (particularly HF), although I really didn't feel it was necessary. I just know that some people need a kick in the pants to get involved in things sometimes.

Excellent!
This was an outstanding fun fly. I had a blast. Thank you Terry and Weldon for a fantastic event despite the flooding. As always, I will see you again next year. I will have lots of pics posted in the near future.

Thanks again,

If any of you ever want to get together for a little local regional, 100 mile radius group or something like that, let some of us know.
We can do a get together, keep it simple, and do an all day deal somewhere. It does not have to be big deal or months of planning.
Just a early morning till sundown Saturday or whatever.
Those are fun for the average guys around here too.
Just contact one of us, and we will throw something together. We have access to some nice places to do it at. We have the experience and getting something put together, is not that difficult.

ps, did anyone leave something behind, check your flightbox, and description of anything not there. No... not cash!

later..

This was my first time at SRC and I had a great time.

I enjoyed being pilot #2 for the night flight. That was probably the most adrenaline rush I have ever had in this hobby, and some more of you guys need to try it next year. I am going to work hard for next year to enter both the none-sponsor demon and night flight again.

Thank you everyone at SRC for doing such hard work to pull this together.

Awesome Time
I had so much fun this year... This is my 2nd time to the SRC. Love'n it ever so much ever year.

I tried to join the beginner contest but I couldn't because I can do a flip. Was a bit bummed. But then, I found they had an intermediate contest. I almost did not try it, but was encouraged by another contestant. I ended up being the last to try it. I can't believe that my little BLADE 400 helped me to win the contest.

The night flying was awesome. Bobby's flying was outstanding. Nick's was the best also. I wish I had extra batteries for my camera to get the demos and contest on film. Hope RC Helis got them on film.

My only suggestion is that of a Pilot's picture. I would like to have a good showing of all the pilots that attended.

Just wanted to say Thanks to SRC for putting on a Great Event. This was my first time attending and now I see what I have been missing. All the Pros did their thing. Can't wait until next year.

Hey guys I'm pretty sure that was my starter you found. I left around noon on Sunday and left it on the end of the runway near the large flooded area. I sent Ando a PM about it.

Hello Everyone
Another year of great fun at the SRC. I first want to thank everyone that came to the event. I realize it rain a lot leading up to the event but this lead to us bringing everything in closer and double pitting the tent area which really was kind of nice.

I want to thank all the pro pilots that did great demos for us at the event. As some have said we have a great mix of beginners, intermediate and Pro pilots.

The demos were fantastic again. It is really nice when guys like Bert Kammerer, Bobby Watts, Tim Jones, Curtis Youngblood, Nick Maxwell come each year. We also have some new additions each years as well. Frank Columbo, Mike Fortin, The Beast, Darryl (big D) Bell came this year.
I missed my friends Jim and Jamie Robertson because of other committments(but don't make it a habbit guys )

We really appreciate our many sponsors that help add to our pilot give away.

Sorry Alan
Maybe next time

I had a couple of questions, What was the deal with the bus that came from the DFW area. Did a bunch of guys rent this bus or did it belong to someone and everyone just kind of pitch in and came in it.

I thought that was a pretty cool idea for going to a fun fly.

Also did anyone get video of Nick's plane demo, it was definitely one of the highlights of the whole event.

I have not check on Zack site, but there may be some footage of it there, I hope so.

By the way, we had a pilot count of 104 pilots, not bad considering some was afraid of the weather that actually turned out good.

I got a video of Nick's plane demo on Friday. It's not very good, but not too bad considering the equipment I used (my iPhone 3GS). Here's a link:
