There are three bladed heads that will fit the Blade 400 shaft, but the MD500 had four blades on the C models with a "V" tail and five blades on everything that followed ("D" and "E" )

Can't say that I have found any one company that makes a great Multi-Blade head for the 450 class EP Heli.

For now, I'm using a 4- and 5-blade Hub for HeliArtist and HeliArtist Blade Grips (no choice due to their M4 bolt size), Gaui Follower, and Beam Swashplates. The HeliArtists are pretty rough and in my opinion not very well built, especially their Swashplate, just as bad is their Follower.

I must say that the Gaui Follower is very well made. I was using a customized Follower from Beam and Trex450 parts until I found the Gaui one. I have seen the Gaui 2-Blade Flybarless system, and it is very nice.

For the Swashplate, a little expensive, but the Beam ones work great. You have to find yourself a way to precision drill and tap M2 threads to fit ball-links at the correct spacing. I am lucky that a friend runs a full sized computerized industrial CNC machine. The only caution about the Beam Swashplate is that you need to Red or Green Loctite the Swashplate Base to the Swashplate Cap if you are going to rotate the head CCW (like the real MD / Hughes 500).

I've heard even worse things about other brands. Furthermore, both HeliArtist and RC Aerodyne don't seem to reply to emails.
