Bad day. Elev servo on 4G6 is done and in attempts to revive it, it is, I guess, completely done...Some soldering required. On a positive note, despite almost completely hardly moving servo, 4G6 still flew and not so bad. I just wondered why it reacts so slow on elev stick movement. I thought it is again after big birds flying...But it was servo.

Funny happened to me with G5. On landing in a strong wind, I touched ground by tail. And I got some ticking sound. Aha, ok, that's bearing I decided. After some deep breathes, I took half of heli apart, got to tail transition assembly, heat it to get rid of green loctite, removed bearing (it was Ok btw). Then I greased brand new ceramic ones, green loctited one of them into place, then red loctited it on shaft, then waited for couple hours, then installed tail assembly in place, set up mesh, couple of times screwed up with belt. Now it is all done. Rotate and the same ticking sound is back. Dough... Oh, wait, it is just grub screw keeping front tail pinion is loosened. Ok, start again, release tail boom, remove belt, tightened grub screw. Now it is OK. Next should be maiden after fixes. Next chapter follows. Btw, G5 is most quiet of my helis.

Did a bunch of stuff to the new 500. I did find a notchy bearing in the tail at the umbrella gear. I'm changing 3 or 4 other things as well to see what's causing the vibes that are messing with the GP750 gyro.

More work on the 500 but still not done.

Cut off the end of my motor shaft cause it was too long and not letting the pinion drop enough to be 1mm above the maingear.

Remounted the GP750 with Zeal/metal plate/Align foam sandwich

Drilled some holes in the CF frame to run wire ties better so next time If I have to dissasemble the tail box, I don't have to cut wires like I did this time.

Put most of it back together except the tail cause still waiting on a tail bearing to come in from Heli Direct.

Buddy of mine is hard up for $$. Pulled a bunch of spare 450 parts that I got from that flasher 450 purchase last fall. Boxed it up to him and took to post office. Should be enough to get him in the air.

Did a once over of the flasher 450 my salesman friend is buying. He did not have a radio last time so He got a cheap one to get started up again. Gonna also help him get his nitros back in the air.

Did you work on your heli today?
Yes, fired up my Razor 600 (with 720mm mains) and tried some sky shots with my camera. Just tweaking up some minor problems.
I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Cell phone, battery box 12,24v supply, 4S lipo for my starter, 2 glow igniters, 2 reviever packs, One electronic ignition pack, and best for last my TX.

that will get half of my stuff charged.

Still got 3 3S 2100's, 3 3S 1000's, Raptor 50 RX pack another 3S 2100, and another receiver pack for a plane I just bought this week.

Oh but not all in one room.

When I am down It can take 2 days to get back up. Gotta do a little planning a day before flying. Cause it gets ridiculous doing all that in a day.

good thing for the quick field chargers.

worked on the raptor today. got it to start up for a sec. that really hurt the allen we used. we put it on the cordless drill. but the battery on the drill is shot. so we only got one chance to get it started. I am hoping to get the starter with in the next couple days. So i can spend all day getting it started.
