not following you,you can have 30% in HH and 30% in rate both at the flick of a switch

the way to tell for sure is when its in rate the servo returns to center after you hit rudder and release, when in HH it will stay to the side you moved it to

i thought it was the other way around. when in rate you hit rudder and it keeps moveing in that direction till you get it to stop, The HH you us rudder and let go the tail stops.

ok. so i guess i had them mixed up. I have to buy a new head unit for the heli. i test hovered it and it shoot up for no resson. i did not do it. I was hovering and the tracking was off. (cant seem to get it centered.) I was hovering and then it shoot up. i think its because the tracking switched agian. it will be off one way then all of a sudden the blades switch. the other one will take place of the other. so i am going to replace the whole head.

re-loctiting the tail parts of the 500, the 2mm x 6mm screw that holds the tail blade grips snapped. Tail hub is useless with the screw stuck in there. Don't think I'll be able to drill it out with the loctite holding it in. gonna have to try to get seller to replace it but he's already saying it's a "user action"

i have replaced the main shaft and feathing shaft. ive ajusted it alot. A friend of mine who owned the heli before me had the same problem. so the only way i think it will be fixed is a whole new head. it needs new grips and i heard the head block can also mess with it.

I have the same problem with the HK250 well not shooting up cause tracking is off!!

my blades go out 1/4" or more I have slop in the head you can hold the main shaft and wiggle the blade grips up and down. I was gonna get new dampeners to see if it tightens it up. But I havent I just keep flying it flies fine all screwed up.

have you eliminated any servo problems?a jumpy servo can move the swashplate and add or take away pitch.

what about tx programming ?what are your curves.

does the motor stay at the same rpm or does it change as the heli goes up?

Are you talking about throtal curves?
both, throttle and pitch and did you set both blades to 0 pitch at mid stick using a guage?

im not sure for zero. but i am almost at full throtal before lift off. so i need to woek on it some more. but at mid stick they look flat. I know that does not cut it but i think it should still lift of before what its doing currently.

sounds like your curves are not right,if the heli is at full throttle it only takes a few deg of pitch to send it up,and since you dont know what its set to, it could be anything.sounds like you need to adjust both of your curves

What you got Castle Creation ESC? I had to recal the EPA on that my ICE after software upgrade.

Which last software update I did I have to mickymouse it to get some power out of the motor (it was confirmed bug), finally plug it last week got new FW that fix that problem, but no knowing about end point thingy went to the filed and ESC won't arm.

TREX250 CF melnic. Tracking always falls out to the side of the torque one blade up the other down adjust tracking then the opposite. I can feel the up and down play about a 1/8" in the blade grips so I assume the head block is loose whether it be dampeners or what I dont know. I changed out the bearings that was no help. I might of squashed the factory dampeners running it full throttle holding it by the skids? They do seem pretty weak as dampeners go.
