This means I can't start the bird with the canopy on and that makes me not fly it with the canopy on
?? Because you have a problem putting it back on ?
My remote Glow adaptor is not making a good connection either.
I put the canopy back on after I start it up and let it warm up a little. I'm going to see if I can make it work by cleaning it up some as opposed to buying a new one. (I'm trying to repair stuff before buying new when ever I can now w/ my job hours cut back 10%)

No way I would do FF w/o the canopy. Too much black on that helicopter for me to see it comming out of manuevers.

Mine was intermittent I found the cheap rubber jacketed wire was pretty much gone corroded at both ends sometimes it would start sometimes it wouldn't. So I thought HMMMM I cut both ends off and soldered I believe a 12 gauge stranded automotive wire to the two ends problem solved. The wire was a bit overkill for 1.2V but its durable and can be bent into shape. Hard to believe they skimp on less than a foot of wire.

No Really I am the club President!!!

My remote glow adapter broke right at the base of the faux plug, so no soldering there.

Yeah well you try starting it, putting the canopy on, carrying it to the runway, setting it down and then having it die. Ok so pick it back up and walk back. Pull the canopy, start it again, put the canopy back on, carry it back over and set it down, have it die again. So until I get a remote glow adapter I will just fly it without the canopy. Besides I have mad skills

After I run one tank through it it usually idles fine but that first tank is hit and miss. Of course I have only got 7 tanks through it so far. Actually I am REALLY hoping Sunday is nice and I can go up to the big city to meet one of the Synergy guys for some flying and a little tuning help. Maybe then I can say I understand how to get the most out of the little screamin demon!

Tj, sounds like your rich while idling. Unless it's really cold out, it should not do that. I think it should be broken in by now. Mine was doing that only when it was OVERLY rich, now that I have it tuned in and still on the rich side, it's idling fine.
Having the engine konk out as you walk it out and then perform the WALK OF SHAME back to start it up again is one of my reasons to fly eletric most of the time

When you get an experiance pilot to help you tune it, you'll be fine again I think.

I did work on my heli today, the R30 that is. First I replaced the little ESky screw holding the tail push rod ball to the servo with a proper 2mm bold an nut. Then I checked the pitch to find that I do indeed have the norm of about -8.5, 1.5, 11.5 degrees. Later I might set it up for 3d and equal out the pitch but for now that is just fine. Then I rewired the switch to switch the CC10 off and on. Up to now I have been just plugging and unplugging the bec as I flew it. Now I can leave that all alone and just switch it off. Basically I just snipped the ends off the switch leads and installed deans so that is simply plugs in between the 3s lipo and the bec. Works like a charm and since it is on the high voltage side of the bec, it will be passing less current. Pluses all around

Now I just need a remote glow adapter and I it will be 100%.

no,my flying buddy(planes) from work also does airbrush work,he had wanted to try a canopy for a while, when he saw the 50 canopy unfinished he just took itI got it back a few weeks later.I told him dont go nuts its only a plastic one,but it came out great, and free is really cool with me.

What heli is the red one? Love the paint work.

The TREX 250 got here Sat. about 1:00.

I spent about 10 hours on it this weekend.

I have about 3 hours to go.

I'm REALLY slow at this!

With the "varied gusts" of wind here, I didn't / couldn't get a lot of flying in anyway!!

Awesome flying weather today and not a lick of flying. Did the Mulch today. $1.28 much at Home Depot so I could not resist to get it all this weekend and do the work. 60 bags in 2 trips.

Musical head swaps today.
put the CopterX head on one EXI and put the head from it onto the one that crashed last week from the servo failure.
Test flew the EXI w/ the CopterX head along w/ this new Gyro. It's an MKS 292. It was holding pretty solid with as much bobbing up and down I could do in the basement. It's really small. Smaller than an Esky 704A HH gyro and mounts vertically just like the Esky. So far, it seems better than an Esky 704A and it's less than $40.

Did not have a chance to finish fixing the one that crashed.

JW's Raptor pics reminds me that I need to get my header tank installed.

No, but after this flight I wsill need to.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XflwqfRhj_8

It was gusty and I hadn't flown the 450 for months, to busy with my 600E.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?
