I just bought a hyper and a mp5 and neither comes with a gasket so where is the best place to get one? the only place I have found that has them is heliproz but that comes with bolts and I dont realy like to order from them anyway.

gaskets are for pussies.

Inkspot, where are you? You tell him, Ink. Tell him, "gaskets are for pussies."

I have had really good luck with just metal to metal contact.

No leaks at all. Just gotta make sure both surfaces are clean.

I have done both gaskets and no gaskets. I was using a metal gasket then decided to get some gasket material from advance auto and just cut one out. When I use a gasket, I retighten the muffler bolts after each flight for 3 to 5 flights until they seat properly. I have no problems using a gasket and will continue to use one.Man, I miss the eighties.

You don't need a gasket, metal to metal works fine. You can use a THIN smear of 5 minute epoxy if it leaks to fill any imperfections but most of the time you don't need it.

Clean it, bolt it up, fly it till it warms up, snug the bolts as its cooling.
