Conventional knowlege says 1C, but many have done experimentation and seen very little cycle life degradation by charging at 2-3C. I'm not saying there is no difference, but its small. perhaps if everything else goes right (never overdischarge, never overheat or overamp during use) instead of 150 cycles charging at 1C you'll get 125 cycles or someting. I personally charge at 2C now due the cost savings of the alternative, which is to buy twice as many batteries and charge at 1C (this means $300 for me)

Overall, you'll probably trash the battery through overdischarge or flight damage before you'll see the difference charging at 2-3C

I agree with mmc205. At the field I charge as fast as my charger will allow which is sometimes more than 2C, at home I just charge at around 1C. Sticking to the 80% rule is the best way to get longer life out of your packs.60% of the time, it works every time!

There may not be any type of degradation. But so it may take 30 more minutes. Yea that adds up when you've got a few packs to charge but when they are so expensive, I don't really have the extra money or care to donate the extra money to experimenting. That extra money I do have, I usually want to put it toward more upgraded parts or batteries. But to solve the charge time, lately I've been t hinking about buying a TP 610 to use along with my 1010.

Yes a good charger is a good investment. I myself use a very cheap but powerful charger (100W) (cXarge M1 Li-po smart charger from ebay!) with a flightpower v-balancer.60% of the time, it works every time!
