Torque Tube Tail Case UPDATED WITH PICTURES!!
Hey guys. I just upgraded my 600 with a whole array of goodies, Kasama Smirok Head and Tail. Metal Bearings, Bell Cranks, Torque Tube, Boom and I'm sure I'm missing others. I like the silver and black. When I got the Torque tube I was disappointed to find that the sides of the tail case were that crappy green grayish color. Instead of having to buy a whole new tail case do you know if and if so where sell the individual sides of the tail case. I saw at readyheli they sell them for JR but not Align.

I thought about that. But beings that the bearings are pressed in, I figured if I could get them new for 10 bucks or so it wouldn't be worth the hassle of taping around or popping out the bearings. If I can't get them or they aren't cheap, I'll end up just doing that.

actually pop out the bearings and soak em in drano (any thing with sodium hydroxide) for about 5-10 minutes pulling em out and rinsing em off every few minutes or so untill the anodizing is gone...they will look like preaty machined aluminum, and you can polish if you want to!dude..wheres my heli?????ama#902014

Sucks doesn't it. That isn't a half bad idea for both. Primarily the grease on them though! I might give that a try. I just placed yet another order from Readyheli. Damn I can't seem to stop spending money on this damn addiction. I just got a bunch of stuff but something I like are the black landing skids. I already have the black plastic frames but I want to cut the skid pipes about an inch to make them look a little better. Not to mention, I'm having issues mounting it on the wall hanger with the way the normal length fit on the frames now.

Actually I have one just like that but it is black and says "Goulds Pumps" on it I got at a convention. It is probably the most used screwdriver I have.

Yea yea you like the driver. It secretly is my driver.

Just kidding.
Thanks guys.
I had minor issues with the kasama head during the build. Putting in the jesus bolt, it didn't really go. I basically stripped the bolt getting it to go in. I don't know if they made the wrong threads or what. It's holding good for now, but for the price I paid I wasn't very happy with that issue. If and when it gives out, I'm hoping I can get a tad skinnier but longer bolt and just bolt it through and put a bolt on the outside of the head just like Align does.

I'm sure. I have numerous screw drivers but that one has the best head and works the best. Whether the screw be small or large.

It works the best out of all the drivers that I have. As for the leading and trailing. That is the way it all goes. I must say that even though it didn't go together as smooth as I would have liked a.k.a. the jesus bolt, it sure does look good and fly smooth.

Nevermind. I am a dumba$$. I just took notice to what you mean. I didn't even realize that. That is also shoddy about the Kasama products, their instructions are pretty basic. And for the tail, well there is no directions. But I'm glad you caught that. I was going over my helis on last night and noticed that I didn't put 4 bolts in a part of my tail case on my NSP. I put the 4 bolts on to clamp the boom and the 8 (4 on each side) but up fron near the drive gears, the 2 on each side were non-existent. I don't know how I didn't notice that before but it flew great anyway. But it is fixed now and I'll swap my tail grips tomorrow. Thanks for the eagle eye!
