Check Out the New (to me) Bird!
I just git this today and I am pretty excited! I am planning on getting into some AP so I figured this was a great platform to start on. It came basically together, I just added the rest of the electronics and cleaned up the wiring a little. Here she is!

Here's my heli.. Didn't get it at nearly as good a deal as you, but she's (was) a CX. It's now a Maxi, swinging 800mm blades with a straight boom. Hasn't flown as a Maxi Joker yet though. I'm still waiting on an Actro motor. It currently has an Align BEC on it but once I can save some more money, it'll be running a Duralite Gemini system. At this point I've invested a pretty penny in this bird, so a little extra for insurance can't hurt. This bird's gonna be running on 12S with an Actro 32-3 (330kv motor) and a 23T pinion.

Yea, that's kinda why I got it too! I mean, having a head button on helis this size is pointless because if you try to put your hand on the top of the rotor to stop the blades, well... you're gonna need some long arms, otherwise you're gonna chop your leg... BUT it does look cool! It's light weight aluminum, not too bad of a price ($15.00), and if anything, makes it a tad easier to carry. Here's a link.

I got it in the air a little today kinda . I was inside the bay at the Fire Station so it was just barely off the ground but it was extremely stable and smooth. Going to be a great camera ship for sure!.....RonTeam MikadoUSA 480XXTreme, 550SX, 600SX, 700XXTreme, 800XXTreme!!

That is an AP camera mount.
Oh no it's not... It's a time machine! You hold it above your head and click your heels together, and voila! just kidding, ya it's a camera mount... kinda tryin to figure out how I might modify it for at least servo-controlled tilt.
That's one of the best helis I've seen TrexRookie. If I won the lottery I would have one tomorrow.
Thanks, I do my best to make sure my setup is nice and clean, both aesthitically and performance-wise. Once I get this bird in the air I'll definitely post pics and vid... but that all depends on how long it takes parts to get to me from Germany. It's my understanding that August is somewhat of a vacation period for Europe in general and production of all sorts slows to a crawl. Oh well. So long as I get a good product, I won't complain (too much...).

PS...

I don't mean to come off as a smart ass... Let's just say the alcohol might have a little to do with it, but in any case, I like making people smile, chuckle, and laugh. So ya, not trying to belittle or insult anyone in any way.
