I used to fly with those guys. I was told about this particular event and how it was because the pilots depth perception had been getting steadily worse.

By the time that accident occured i believe theyre machines were capable of fully autonomous flight with pilot over-ride features.

We just shot a job last weekend for one of there old cutomers. He told us they would unpack the machine all pre-programmed, start it up, and hit the go button and it would fly the programmed route while the cam operator took photos. (hi-rise jobs and stuff like that)
