Futaba 3114's strip while powering up, but not Hitec
anyone else experience this?
when turning on any of my 2.4 Rx's (606,617,608 & 6014) the analog servos move to one extreme while linking up and then move of course back to their normal posistion. not a problem with larger servos, but i now have 2 3114's that have stripped due to this (who eats the cost on this one Futaba?)

was told over on RCU by Krysta that this is normal for the new Rx's when using anything but digital servos (marketing ploy?)

funny thing is, when using any of the Hitec servos that are analog, they don't move at all when being powered up.

this has really got me ticked off..............anyone else seeing this?

Did you check for binding on the links and set your end points?

Hi Mike:

Maybe something is wrong with your TX?
Here is why I'm asking, I have 16 models, airplanes/Jets/Helis, with 606-607-617-608 and one 6014 with no issues at all, I have a Seawind "foam" with 3 3114's working good, on all these models I use combination of Hitecs, JR and Futaba servos (Digital and analog), Radios I use 7C 2.4 and 12FG.

However, I did have an issue with an F-16, one of the elevators was going down at startup, I made sure everything was centered then I re-link the rx and tx, and that issue was resolved.

Hope this helps!
Doug.

My analog servos move, but not to extremes. They just jump and then return to the commanded position as soon as the tx/rx connect. Haven't had any damage, but I don't own any 3114 servos.

Doug,
thx for the reply, but this happens with all my Rx's, and it does the same thing with my 6EX 2.4.................i just got a reply from BBaxter and he has stepped up to the plate with a reply given to him from Futaba Japan...........it happens with non digital servos (confirmed) and so NO, it is nothing to do with my 12Z.

well from the looks of things it is looking to be a shooooooh, hopefully this one will go away and he'll just buy 2 more 3114's.............I WARN ANYONE FROM THIS POINT FORWARD TO NOT BUY FUTABA 3114'S.
save yourself some grief and buy Hitec HS-65's.
they do not move when being powered up as do Futaba analogs, and they are a much better servo with no slop and excellent centering.
