My first Electric, any advice
Well, i stepped out of the box and got a new trex 450 from one of the vendors cleaning out at ircha. Got it for a good price. It all seems mostly straight forward, i soldered the banana plugs on to connect the motor and esc, and will probably put a deans on the other end to plug to the battery. i have also ordered a 617 rx and 3 hs65mg's and a 401 for it.

2 questions

1. how do you set up a throttle curve on the electric?
2. what is the metal ring thingy that is on the rx lead comming off the esc?

any other tips would be great.

It's a ferrite ring that helps block interference...even with 2.4ghz, it's still good to have.

As far a throttle curves and pitch curves....go to helifreak and watch the Finless video on curves. Heck, you have a 450 now, watch ALL of the Finless vids. They are excellent.

Good luck!
