Don't fear the underslung.
At one point I kissed one of the rocks with the underslung skid while starting a sequence. The bounce dipped the rotor a bit, but high enough to clear the ground - back up and do it again..

Cheers,
Jeff

Couple of those shots the sun is about 3 minutes from setting. If you're anything like me, your shuffling everything as fast as you can trying to sqeeze in that last shot before it all ends.

Very nice.

Going up that river I saw some grass move from the down draught...you were VERY low & I love the way you skimmed the water heading towards the fisherman, superb filming, best time of the day as well.

Seems to me that ALL heli's beat the air into submission

Great work.

I've copied a quote from your website, about loving what one does for a living; it's pasted on the wall of our office, thank you.

You images really reflect your appreciation for the job, keep it up!

Cheers,

Patrick

How many of you had to go find the quote like I did??

Very nice Jeff.. I espesially like all the modeling.

Did any fish get caught in the making of this film??

Thanks all for the kind words.

Ross,

"I love the way you skimmed the water heading towards the fisherman"
I also like the low stuff with the climbout at the end so the viewer can say "how did they do that?".

Derek,

One of our most asked questions was "when is the sunset"?. Now we turn on the GPS to answer that one.

Chasing light is the name of the game, but it can be a gamble in NW Montana. I'm now more concerned with flying directly behind the sun to keep out the heli shadow for the low, wide shots.

Cedar,
Two fish were caught by Eliza. (her mother has a ranch off Oak Crk Rd). The ponds are stocked, but still quite small.

Cheers,
Jeff
