i loved having the cart, but i think they need to at least put a traffic pattern in, like have lanes, and maybe a designated parking area near center stage.

They could always have the front side go westbound, and a lane behind vendors go eastbound. I liked the little paths to take between though. Exepct for rogue carts almost running people over.AMA Member #914650

Police the kids more and give them warnings. If they get 3 warnings they loose their right to drive the cart. Some of them were WAY out of hand and driving to fast around spectators.

Better yet if they are under 16 and without a drivers license for an automobile then no cart driving. They are young and can walk and get plenty of exercise. I don't think that will hurt them. If they must travel a great distance then they can get a ride in a IRCHA cart.

Back on topic.... I don't think we need more flight lines. The AMA sight has plenty of room.

I agree with most that the cart thing was out of hand this year. i almost got run over a few times and it wasnt teens driving. luckly no major problems happened but the problem needs some more thought. As far as the damages go I think it happened Fri night but some
MORON(S) decided to turf the farmers corn field and did some major damage!!!! I also know that Fri night the JR tent was hit HARD by some thiefs.I can only assume that this is not a complete list so if you know of a turfers or thiefs with lots of JR stuff its time for them to PUT UP AND PAY OUT!!! the results of what happened this year will greatly effect next years event. It is just a shame that we cant weed the bad apples out when they show up to an event of this type. You can bet that some type of security will probly be added next year and that will cost all of us money next year.

All in all this was the best IRCHA jamboree i have ever been to and I have been to ALL of them!!!

THANK YOU to all the IRCHA people and voluniteers for the best show ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think only pilots and maybe a pilot asistant should be allowed to drive carts, the reason i add assistant is its hard to drive well holding your heli and radio...

i think when a pilot signs up he should get an additonal badge or wrist band, and only people with a pilot card or wristband can drive.

that would stop all the kids from flying around who dont even have a destination, nor paid to be there.

I'll agree with the last post.

And I also agree with the people have have suggested an age limit to driving the carts.

I've volunteered my time on the flightline for the past 3 or 4 years at IRCHA.

I enjoy running the flight line carts. Get to see a lot of flying, help out with the event and get a chance to win prizes only for the volunteers.

I did have difficulty navigating around all the "extra" carts when a hot shot pilot pilot was flying or during the factory flights.

Yeah.. I'm really thinking about volunteering next year. Depends on how many people actually want to go from our local area. What kinds of prizes did they have to offer for volunteers?AMA Member #914650
