Vibe 50 Issues?
I've just bought a Vibe 50, and then i hear there are issues with the swash binding, is this true? are there any issues with the model or are people blowing smoke here. In all honesty the flying i do (simple stuff) binding would not be an issue anyway.

Anyway I'm looking forward to my Vibe, it a great build so far

Only problems I have heard of are where someone put a tail shaft bearing in backwards and it come out in flight causing the tail to explode.

A few little things here are there, the old you can't please everyone all the time.

If you use the 140 ccpm you have to enlarge the cutouts on the canopy a bit or the links will rub but thats it.Andy

its not plug & play you have to dial indicate the fan and set the gear backlash on the front tail gears and the clutch bell.

I haven't heard of that one. What bearing are you talking about?

The tail rotor gear box on the side of the output shaft has a lip to retain the bearing. If its assembled backwards the bearing will come out and slide outwards on the shaft. You can imagine the result of an unsupported tail shaft spinning at 12k or so.Andy

The other things I found/heard about:

1) Make sure you have the left and right frames on the proper side.

2) Look carefully at the drawings for how the main bearing blocks go in. I managed to get all three upside down.

3) Make sure you put the tail gearbox bearings in the right way.

4) Don't over tighten the lower Jesus bolt, just snug is fine.

5) Insert the ball into the washout from the outside, then put in screw. The washout arm is installed (properly) upside down and inside out, making the outside of the link the inside.

6) You put in the lower rear servo in before the upper rear servo (really only mistake in the manual)

7) When you insert the tail boom with torque tube, make sure yo udon't shove it in so far you move the drive gears forward and screw up the mesh adjustment.
