I would definitely shell out some $$$ for that technology.

But until it comes out, I'll make do with a good camera, tripod and a light kit.

You make me wish that I marketed videos. Perhaps I will in the future. Thanks for the information.

Wonder what the render times are for that.
I believe they said it is about 5 minutes per frame. If that is true:

1 sec = 2.5 hours
10 sec = 1 day (roughly)

and from there:
1 minute = 1 week
5 minutes = 1 month+

That is standard def. For HD just multiply processing times by 4.

Post is where you make or lose money.
Amazing technology, but the old adage still holds true:
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Why is it everytime I go for new software, it usually means I have to buy a new computer to run it?

What they have been able to do basically is turn a 2D video camera into a 3D scanner using realtime images. That is some serious star trek sh1t

As AP'ers the usage is quite obvious, making smooth video, but in the wrong hands, you could remove suspects from a scene, create false evidence, false witnesses, the list goes on and on. If you remember the old Arnold movie, The Running Man, this is the software they would have used.
