For you scale fans
Seems like an easy way to a great looking MD500.

I don't like the proprietary radio setup. Might be good for beginnners, but you have to start over with proper radio on your next heli. Regardless, it looks more promising than the Blade CP ever could hope to be.

It looks like it's got the "easy fly bar".

IMHO, Self correcting like the Quark.

What's an easy flybar? It appears to be one piece.

Also, did you guys see the mid-air touch, and mid air catch? Crazy stuff.

That heli had foam blades.

Is there still a risk? Yes.

From what I've read, the flybar design gives the Quark it's self correcting qualities, I THINK I saw the same design on this one.

Did you guys see the Innovator 3D video? Check it out:

http://runryder.tv/rrTV-Photo/funfl...IP=71.65.43.102

HD Version: http://runryder.tv/rrTV-Photo/funfl...IP=71.65.43.102

The HD version is worth the wait. This is the same heli as the scaled version, with the exception of the traditional stick-and-pod look. The software has been tweaked (via a PC) in order to fly 3D. It looks like this heli would be perfect for the beginner who will able to grow with this heli as skills improve. The Innovator will be available in November.

a post in the TT forum from director of marketing this software driven heli seems ridiculously simple for anyone. You could just upload your setup to a guy so he can fly your heli thats amazing.

My Posts This: Topic Forum The Innovator

Hey Guys, I'm sure you may have seen the video of the Innovator. It is rock solid for the entry level flyer while easily programmable to go to fully 3D. Unlike other helicopter which call themselves programable the Innovator truly is a programmable rotor head. I know many of you are saying that it doesn't apply to you but you have not seen everything just yet. As Dino pointed out it takes time, sometime 3 years as many of you have pointed out. But we simply didn't copy some other people and produce a helicopter. Also the helicopter is the easy part, it is the software that take the most time. So unlike other helicopter being mentioned the Innovator is truly innovative. Does your helicopter program itself and find all its end points nulling out travel maximums and then centering your servos so they are perfectly 90°. Probably not, and for many whom have never programmed a helicopter this will be a great feature that will be shown shortly on RR. Just imagine your 50 or 90 with this capability. The Innovator can set itself up after a crash during a calibration process which no other helicopter in the world can do. So mass or hobbyist you will appreciate this technology as it will be applied to other helicopters. Imagine your drinking a cool beverage and you watch your helicopter set itself up. Now you download Colin Bell's setup and your helicopter is set exactly like his with everything except his ability. Those whom have seen this process done during IRCHA were amazed. So the Innovator is not just a helicopter, it is software(patented), flight simulator, battery monitoring software(patented), charging made simple for anyone even if you don't know Lithium Polymer from NiMH. Point is this helicopter out of the box will deliver a solid platform to learn on. Oh yes I forgot to mention that the servos are digital, unlike most other micro helicopters on the market. So add that to your bottom line when comparing with any micro 400 sized helicopter. We all had to learn once, and while many of you are experienced there are a great deal of people who would like not to have to learn how to setup. Best part of all people want to know there setup is identical to a favorite rockstar pilot. Next time your at the field and you see some one scratching their head on how to setup think Innovator. It's the only helicopter in the world that can set itself up.
