Brevard County is floating...
Actually I think it's sinking since it's under the water .
If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

I'm in Brevard County and while digging some drainage ditches today, this is what I saw swimming upstream along my curb!
Yes...it's a catfish! We had 18+ inches of rain as of a few hours ago. Probably closer to 20 now! Now you know why I'm digging ditches..to keep the water out of my house!

Wow that's crazy! I'm also in Brevard county (Rockledge) and it has been raining here almost non stop all day. I work for the county and it looks like we're off tomorrow. I haven't seen this much rain in a long time. At least there's no flooding at my place. I hope it ends by the weekend. I really want to get out there and fly again.

Rain
Last time I saw heavy rain was for Hurricane Floyd. Took me 2 days to be able to get home as every creek and river between my job and home was up to 30 foot high. Not to sure how my fifth wheel RV will hold up under that much rain. Last NHC report mentions some areas might get 30 inches of rain. I'm about 200 yards form the lake and my site is about 10 foot above lake level. Doubt if the water will get this high but you know them sneaky mocs gonna be seeking dryer grounds.

Fay
Our steady rain just started about 1 PM so we have a LONG way to go before Fay leaves the area. Friends in Cape Coral said it has been raining there since 9 AM with the rain coming off the gulf. As long as the power does not go out for too long, otherwise I might be eating fresh made Italian hot sausage and hamburger meat 3 times a day for the next 6 days, along with 2 pints of Ice Cream.
Don't think I'll be practicing on anything other than the sims. Some gator hunters here are a little bit on the diehard side. Heard 2 airboats going out on Orange Lake about 11 last night.

I charged all of my packs and it's been blowing and raining all day here in Gainesville. I'm not really worried about the storm itself, I experienced Hurricane Charley to the fullest extent when I lived in Punta Gorda.

This very gas station was less than 5 miles away from where I lived.

Watch at YouTube

My father and I were able to witness this destruction with our own eyes, while we were scrambling around the house to keep the doors from blowing in! The sound of 150+MPH winds is something that I'll never forget. By far the most power I've ever experienced in my life.

I will admit, Fay's "Zig-Zag" path is quite dumbfounding!
