No Flying in Florida for now! Tropical Storm Fay!
With Tropical Storm Fay closing in on Florida, Looks like there will be little to no flying for now!
Friday looks good (?) before the winds even start to lay down below 30mph, currently we are looking at 40-65 mph coming for the central Orlando area (From Tampa to Daytona Beach)!

Well, At least it isn't snow....
Hang in there North Florida and Georgia!! It's coming!!

Yesterday it was pretty windy here. I flew my little rex 450 around around behind the building at work. A few minutes after I got in somebody said there was a tornado warning in effect.

I thought "Cool!! I just flew in a tornado!". Well not really, but it sounds cool to say it. Well.. Not really.

Anyways, I feel for you Pull-n-pitch. I've taken two weeks of vacation this year specifically to go helicoptering and both weeks were lousy. It's been nothing but snow all winter and rain all summer here

yeah i hope all in the way are safe. I know first hand about hurricans. Katrina that b$tch took my old house, helis, and a 40% plane. AMA did call and said "Can we help you out?" I was like yeah, but nothing happened. If you live next to the water, get out if there is a big storm surge. Good luck and my parish is praying for yall. one more thing, get a generator if you dont have one. We went six weeks with no power.

I got a final flight in last night since I knew this was coming. I guess I'll have some time for the Sim and may start building an E-Smart for my girlfriend's dad. They let us out of work early and we might have tomorrow off too so I'll have lots of time on my hands. On the bright side I just got my new issue of RC Heli so I guess I'll have some time to read it.

He's in critical condition. He Could soon be a Darwin Award Candidate. If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

Good luck to all those in the North half. We got power back about 2:00 after FAY came ashore about 5:00. Eye went over here about 8:00. No damage or floding but we did have a bear in the yard about and hour ago. We have a couple of sheets of plywood with a carpet center to fly from. He was laying right in the center of it.

Just say No to Fay
Hope Fay stays WAY east of Orange Park. Only good thing is that she gives me more time to make room in my RV. That is if I keep off the PC. Moved to Florida just in time for Charlie, Francis and Jenna and do not care for the wind blown rain. But then again, it is a lot better than a Nor'Easter in the winter with snow. Warmer anyway.

Have you see Fay's new track?
The possibility of it comming back on shore around Saint Augustine and across the north of Florida just to smack the rest of us with a little wind and rain. I guess it just couldn't get all of us in Florida in one pass.
