That left side is missing a overlapped reinforcement panel like the right side...That is the reason you see the joint..
Nothing is etch in stone so keep that in mind with a concept model...

Bill
Note: this post by BillM - he should know, as I understand that he is the main man on the R&D team for any Century gasser.

All BS aside, when do you Century guys predict the Supper Gasser to hit the market? I want to fly the biggest mass produced Gasser on the market! I know your still working on it and I commend you for your efforts. I think if done right this Super Gasser will be a big hit!

Nice looking but......
Still single stage. You can't beat the smoothness of the two stage systems. I don't care what they do!

Just my 2 cents

Still single stage.
I have to somewhat agree with the "cents". A heavier machine is going to require more torque at a slower headspeed. A twin would seem to fit the application better but most things are sold on appearance. The other issue is there are not any mass produced twins to choose from.

At least this gasser will give you the beefed up mechanicals to work with so if you wanted to make a great camera ship yourself you could fit in a twin and not over stress the rest of it.

I like this new direction.

What could be more fun?

I understand that many of the parts that have been passed by the R&D team have already been produced. So it cannot be too far off.

Eury, I think you may be surprised at how hard it will be to build another completely new engine that will be as good as the Zenoah product. There isn't much fat on those engines and frankly I don't want to take a chance with a new engine and going thru the pay as you go test period. The KISS principle still works very well !

The two stage is smooth, but once you understand how to make the single stage work, it is very much as good....Leaks are the number one generator of rough engines that transmit this to the drive train... The belt systems help cushion this but not all of it..

The new G20 is a good exsample..You have seen all the horror stories with the conversions...When I finally got my hands on one., it was ruff, but after exsaming the situation, it was leaks that only showed up at high power that gave the clue.. Unlike the 231, and 26, you would notice it in a hover, yet with this engine, it still sounded rich, until high power...It really thru me a loop...

With this fixed, it is so smooth, you can grab the tail, and not feel any pulse of the engine...Its has made me and Wally go back and examine this procedure to the 231, and 26...
Like I have said all along, none of these engines can tolerate leaks, period, no matter where they are at..

You must do the white clove test to make sure there are no leaks, period.

BTW, I'm a big fan of belt drive, so you use this procedure on belt drive systems, and it really gets smooth

So what is the deal with the super gasser ? they seem to have just released the v2 update package for the aging predator "Whatever that is exactly" No real pics or desciption. But still not the new main frame design.

I think this is a picture of the V2. It does have a new frame, "Redesigned upper main frame and servo frames for a sleeker look". Can owners of the V1 predator compare the description from the V2 link and tell us if there are any feature differences?

The description isn't a confidence boost, though:

Main Blade: 710-830mm

later:

1x 680mm-720mm Main Blades (710mm-720mm carbon fiber recommended)

Why not state 680-830 to begin with??

and

Provide starting equipment

What? You can't use a pull start? We know you can...??

Lightweight yet extremely strong G10 frames, cooling shroud mount plate, battery tray, and tail fin set.

The shroud plate and battery tray now g10? Or just poor grammar?

that's what I'm saying if you can write down a proper desciption then why not just post good pics not one from 10 feet from it with the canopy covering all the changes. it makes no sense.

You see my thing is I'm already mad at century because my heli has been down for 2 months waitng on parts . I got about half of the parts I ordered .Now the bad thing is : it was down because I was updating it to a V1 . Now I'm not sure if the parts I did get are up to date ,and I don't see the point in putting it back together until it's up to date.

The good news is I picked up a bergen gasser EB yesterday so now the predator can wait.

I'd really like to buy that super gasser frame and put it back together with that.
