What Spektrum Reciever For the T-Rex?
Can someone tell me if it's the 6100e that I need for my T-Rex, I use the DX-7 transmitter. Thanks in advance!

There's 2 numbers AR6100 & AR6100E for the 6-channel versions. The 'E' denotes end-pin and makes for a pretty clean looking assembly. I'm pretty sure both are the same firmware. I seem to remember there being an issue with early version of the 'E', but could apply to both versions. Whichever you end up with should have 1.2V grey sticker to denote the firmware is current.

The thing to consider is whether or not you might want that extra channel (for possible camera or landing gear on a scale). Then you'd want to go with the 7-channel. The 7-channel is not quite as 'micro' and has seperate Rx mount points.

FWIW, the latest firmware is 1.6, which has the quick-restart feature in case of power loss. I'm still running 1.2 on mine though and have never had any problems with it. Eventually I'll mail in my receivers for the 1.6 upgrade.

I use the 6100 micro with zero problems to date. The 6100e is the same receiver with pins facing forward instead of upward. Either will do and both fit ok. I have my receiver at the rear of the bird on the bottom plate. the aerials route very nicely to the lightening holes in the side of the frames.Good luck

Some boom designs seem to bring on the resets, some don't.
