Avant Quik UK swashplate
Quik UK makes a swashplate for the Avant FX/EFX and I was just curious if the same swash would work on the Aurora?

Yes, it will. You also have the option of ordering an Aurora swash from HeliProz and other Avant dealers...

I'm using a Quick UK Sceadu swash on my Aurora, also used one on my Avant...It will work perfect, and save some weight.(bought it before I installed a new pivot ball)

You can purchase the swivel ball from quick UK, on line in their bearing section. I bought two of these,($20.00 shipped) and used them in my Aurora swash's. The Quick UK pivot balls will never loosen. Augusto sent me a couple of his new pivot balls, one was perfect, the other was a little loose.

If anyone needs a new Aurora swash with a Quick UK pivot ball installed, I could sell them one. The Aurora swash is very high quality with adjustment screws(just make sure that the bottom is rolled!) With the Quick UK pivot ball, you will not have any slop!

PM me if you are interested in my extra swashplate!

Creightoncarr, I still intend on getting the one from you. I was going to put it on my Avant FX (currently building after being in the closet for 3 years) but I have past the point of putting on the swashplate so I just put the one on that they have U make from the freya swashplate which is very nice once U get it put together (shiny outer ring and Hirobo quality ball). So I was just curious if it would work on the Aurora (currently in closet) If it does not I would go back and put in on the Avant.pcskyhi - live and learn

How do you replace the swash ball? I've never replaced one before.

The spherical bearing to get is an SKF GE 10C. It is much higher quality than the stock one in the swashplate, but it will still wear out with time. It is easy to press the old one out and press in a new one. The only issue is having a pressing tool the proper diameter. That is where having the Sherline lathe comes in handy.

MSC has the bearings.
