Innovator=cool
Guys, I got a chance to check out the new Innovator heli's at Ircha. Let me tell you they are really cool. The scale version is super stable, and looks great, and the 3d version is a Rocket. I snuck down to the end of the flight line at Ircha and watched Colin Bell fly it. It was very impressive. TONS of power, and I swear Colin did his whole routine with it no problems. It is completely adjustable via USB with your computer.

I think I know what my next electric is going to be!

Very disappointing - that’s just another micro electric – it’s too small for me. There are just too many of them to keep track of these days. It would be nice if TT would make something that took 500mm blades (something slightly larger than a Trex 500).

real programable head
I got to see the bind and programing of the rotor head being done by Jeff Fassbinder and the crew from Taiwan. Jeff pressed one button and the helicopter calibrated the end points of gyro and all collective and cyclic controls. This is a real programmable head not like any other for sure. Have your coffee while this heli sets itself up I wish my 90 could do that. The program is in the heli, and everything 100% in your radio. It was way cool as I did also see Jeff and the boys switch from mode 1 to mode 2 and the heli had all the parameters swap radios with your buddy and he can fly your bird. I'll buy one for sure. I asked about the scale and 3d and they said the beginner and the 3d model are as simple as programming the head and swap the paddles and you have a full 3d heli. I'm dumping my 400 for sure and going back to TT. Good job TT, I cannot wait for that new 50 I saw you guys flying.

Yes I was at the end of the flight line and saw the new mixing ratio arms on the head. Colin and Will were ripping that 50 up.

Well, I thought it was cool until ....

I saw that the batteries have to come from Thunder Tiger.
Every battery pack has an exclusive ID corresponding to INNOVATOR helicopter. A valid ID is required to start the helicopter motor.
This sucks.

I have to admit thats pretty cool being able to just download the settings and you're done, but I can program a T-Rex 450 and get it flying 3d in 15 minutes.Team Avant
